Biz Girls Spinoff from Rockies Venture Club and new Executive
Director
DENVER, CO
- After a highly successful 2015 Biz Girls CEO Accelerator week in Denver,
hosted by the WomenÕs College of the University of Denver, the Founder and team
are creating a 501c3 spinoff from the Rockies Venture Club http://www.rockiesventureclub.org/
where the program began. Inspired
by the opportunity for growth in Colorado, the time is right for further
development with plans for future expansion at a national level. The mission of Biz Girlsª http://bizgirls.org/ is to develop and deliver leadership and entrepreneurship based
programs to inspire and empower girls to become world-class leaders. The program was founded in 2010.
The Founder
of Biz Girlsª, Peter Adams, Executive Director of the Rockies Venture Club, announces
the appointment of Hope Hartman as the first Executive Director of Biz Girlsª.
According to Peter "this marks the beginning of an aggressive campaign to
make Biz Girls' CEO Accelerator programs available to more girls in
Colorado. With the appointment of
Hope we bring the leadership and development skills needed to grow Biz Girlsª
into a significant resource for Colorado girls to learn, create and lead in the
future world of business.Ó
The
goal of the new executive director is to establish Biz Girlsª as a leading
resource for encouraging and supporting the development of entrepreneurship, business
leadership minded girls in Colorado. According to Ms. Hartman "we expect
to refine and expand Biz Girls' programs over the next year utilizing the
skills of our amazing cadre of volunteers and with the financial aid of a
growing number of supporters and sponsors. My vision is for every girl to be
knowledgeable and confident to lead a company." The Biz Girlsª program
outreach is expected to double or triple over the next year.
